At wal-mart yesterday, I came across a rescue dog shirt perfect to accesorise the basset hound. It was a tight squeeze, but he managed to suck it in.

That is a great look for the Hound.
FABULOUS!!! If you need an "extension", consider soft, wide elastic instead of more fabric. It would work (and wash) well. A good thing for a handsome hound built close to the ground...
I just bought Clyde his first sweater yesterday. He really needed it. He's super skinny and has really short fur. I've caught him shivering a couple of times recently, so I gave in and became that guy...the one who dresses up his dog. Hopefully they don't hate us for it.
