Here's a thought........
If you are on vacation with intent to propose to your girlfriend.....It wouldn't be the wisest decision to call me up and ask me out. In case there was any doubt, that's a BAD idea.
I don't even know where to begin with the million issues I have with this.

Is it better to be a little ignorant and naive about something, or to be cold-hearted towards someones anguish and naivety?
In a time of heart-ache people get confused and look for companionship. I guess his confusion ran him straight into a wall of undue ridicule. To all of those that make mistakes, or are a little confused, stay out of amandaland; a land lacking of sympathy.
